What a better way to celebrate a newly remodeled drag strip than to invite 20 modern hemi owners together for a photoshoot. Burnouts and group pictures was on the agenda. First off lets tell you the reason this all happened. William Jennings desided to buy the 50 year old track and reinvent it. That is just what he is doing, First tear out the old strip and lay a new old. Then remove the old guard rails and put up a one of a kind brick safety wall. The complex will soon feature camp sites and improved spectator experiences. William aims to put Lapeer International Dragway back in the drag racing scene and its sure looking like that will happen sooner than later.
August in Michigan is a month full of Automotive activity, Roadkill Nights and Modern Street Hemi Shootout(Hemi Nsanity} are just a few. We invited 20 Hemi owners out to Lapeer to hang out some will be down at Roadkill Nights and some at Hemi Nsanity. They got a chance to get out on the new track. The response was 100% Positive . They all did some burnouts and all had smiles on their faces. The new track surface is a hit. With all the improvements coming down the road
Its offical Lapeer International Dragway A.K.A -THE BRICKHOUSE is back and getting stronger everyday.
Diezelmag would like to Thank William Jennings owner and Track manager Ryan Hartsuck for allowing us to experince the new era of Lapeer drag racing. Lapeer is Back on the map.
